Technology continues to be talked about a lot in Africa. In deed, this new trend can be found in almost all industries and is used by the majority of the population, on a daily basis.
Paris hosted the 3rd edition of the Viva Technology on May 24th with the attendance of significant guests like, the president of Rwanda, Paul Kagamé, and the president of France, Emmanuel Macron. The various themes that crossed the venue covered topics like virtual reality, artificial intelligence and robotics.
For the past two years, Viva Technology has been the world’s meeting place for startups and leaders, attracting 68 000 visitors, 6 000 start-ups and close to 93.5 million of people on social media. Many professionals from Fortune 500 companies attended the event such as the CEOs of Google and Alibaba, Eric Schmidt and Daniel Zhang. A wonderful showcase which attracted visitors from around the globe.

This event had the particularity of being focused on Africa, as more than 100 start-ups originating from 15 African countries were present. The following countries, South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia had stands at the event. An unique opportunity for young entrepreneurs to reveal their projects to giants of the tech industry.
This 3rd edition was an opportunity for the African youth to show how dynamic companies born in Africa are and how committed they are in promoting the continent. A few start-ups such as Coin Afrique, LiFi-Led, Nuppio Learn, Own Labs and Sunubus had the chance to promote their products and services in order to gain more visibility in Africa and around the world.
As a pan-african digital recruitment platform bringing together a dedicated network of talents from diverse backgrounds and match them with companies, Talent2Africa was also present at this world event. An initiative that answers a need to find job opportunities on the continent and bring talent to Africa. Attending an event like Viva Technology allowed Talent2Africa to meet a number of partners and potential clients to discuss the many opportunities offered by Africa. This was also the chance to once again exchange with entities that have shown great support for our activity, Jokkolabs and Business France.
