From November 24 to 27, Côte d’Ivoire will receive professionals of the web, marketing, and digital industries, in the framework of the fourth edition of Africa Web Festival. The event aims to promote African excellence in terms of digital.
According to Mariam Diawara, the festival’s promoter, “jobs must be created for youth because the main challenge of the future is youth. The best way to achieve that is to get out of the informal, by helping youth launch businesses”.
She believes that very few sectors are as adapted to youth entrepreneurship as digital, where they are able to easily express their creativity.
In order to achieve this goal, the Africa Web Festival will help young entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs establish new connections with potential clients. Moreover, the most creative enterprises will win training grants.
During the event, participants will also have the opportunity to take part to training workshops on digital marketing of the business ecosystem in West Africa. This initiative proved itself in 2016 as it attracted more than 6,000 participants from 19 countries.
